For older dogs whose back legs need a hand on the stairs, into the car and on slick floors.
How it works
- A chest piece that fits like a walking harness and steadies the front.
- A rear piece with a loop for each hind leg, so the lift comes from under the hips.
- A grab handle on the rear piece, for a quick steady.
- A detachable shoulder strap with two handles, so you lift from your shoulder.
- Side-release buckles, and snap hooks on the strap.
How to fit it
- Chest piece first: clip it around the chest and buckle behind the front legs. Two fingers should fit under the strap.
- Rear piece: lay it across the hips, guide each hind leg through its loop, and buckle. The loops sit high on the thigh.
- Tighten until nothing turns when you lift gently. Loose is what slips.
- Clip on the shoulder strap and adjust it so there's a little tension when you lift. Lift with the handles, steer with the strap.
